Abstract: The Research aims to: - To clarify the methodology of Ahl al-Sunnah wa al-Jamā‘ah regarding the vision of Allah, based on the Noble Qur’an and the purified Sunnah. - To highlight Al-Sam‘ānī’s textual and rational evidences in affirming the vision of Allah Almighty. - To examine Al-Sam‘ānī’s doctrinal approach concerning the issue of the divine vision. - To demonstrate Al-Sam‘ānī’s agreement with the creed of Ahl al-Sunnah wa al-Jamā‘ah on this matter. - To uncover Al-Sam‘ānī’s efforts in refuting the sects that interpreted away the verses about divine vision, such as the Mu‘tazilah and others. Research Methodology: The research employs the inductive- analytical method and the comparative method. Among the most prominent findings: - One of the established tenets of Ahl al-Sunnah wa al-Jamā‘ah is that Allah, Glorified and Exalted, will be seen on the Day of Judgment. This is supported by scriptural evidence from the Qur’an and Sunnah, and is unanimously agreed upon by the early scholars (Salaf). - Some deviant groups, such as the Mu‘tazilah, the Khawārij, and certain Murji’ah, claimed that Allah cannot be seen and that His vision is rationally impossible.
