Abstract Objectives of the Study: - To clarify the nature of the wishes that were prohibited in Islamic teachings, and to define the concept through linguistic and Shar‘i analysis. - To compile the prophetic hadiths that contain prohibitions of certain wishes and to study them objectively in terms of authenticity, meaning, and intended purposes. - To refute the misconception that one may wish for anything without restriction, and to highlight the dangers of such a belief. -To demonstrate the comprehensiveness of the Prophetic Sunnah in addressing all aspects of life, including inward emotions and subtle thoughts, which reflects the perfection and universality of Prophetic guidance. Methodology:Inductive and analytical method. Main Findings: - The study revealed the diversity of prohibited wishes in the Sunnah, some of which pertain to worldly harm, while others pose threats to ones religious integrity. This shows the precision of Prophetic guidance in distinguishing between intentions and their psychological and social consequences. - The study clarified that the prohibition of certain wishes does not pertain to the wishes themselves, but to the potential negative outcomes they might entail—such as weakening of patience, objection to divine decree, or prioritizing worldly life over spiritual values.
