Abstract: Objectives of the Study: -To determine the authenticity level of the hadith “It is not befitting for a believer to humiliate himself” and assess its suitability as evidence. -To analyze the thematic implications of the hadith and define the concept of self-humiliation in light of the Prophetic tradition. -To highlight the legal guidelines for dealing with trials based on this hadith and related texts. -To uncover the educational and methodological purposes behind the Prophetic prohibition of self-humiliation. Research Methodology: Analytical and thematic hadith-based approach Key Findings: -Despite some in its chains of transmission, the hadith attains the level of hasan li-ghayrihi due to the multiplicity of its supporting narrations and the diversity of its transmission routes. This renders it acceptable as evidence in matters of ethics and behavioral guidance, particularly given the soundness of its meaning and its consistency with established legal principles. -The intended meaning of “self-humiliation” in the hadith does not refer to mere humility or enduring hardship; rather, it signifies exposing oneself to trials beyond one’s capacity or burdening oneself in a way that leads to harm or undue weakness without legitimate justification.
