Abstract Title: The Methodology of Ibn Nur al-Din al-Mawzai in His Exegetical Revisions in Taysir al-Bayan li-Ahkam al-Qur’an: . Surat Al Imran as a Case Study This study examines the methodological framework employed by Imam Ibn Nur al-Din al-Mawzi‘i in his exegetical rectifications in Surat Al Imran. It adopts an inductive approach to collect and classify these rectifications, a comparative method to present the views of classical exegetes and identify points of agreement and disagreement with al-Mawzi‘i, and an analytical approach to evaluate the evidence and determine the preponderant positions. The study elucidates al-Mawzi‘i’s methodological approach in articulating his rectifications, whether explicit or implicit, and analyzes their exegetical and juristic dimensions. It further explores the objectives underlying these rectifications, including the identification of weak interpretations and those inconsistent with established scholarly positions, supported by the evidentiary basis he advances. The findings demonstrate that al-Mawzi‘i’s rectifications are grounded in a coherent and systematic methodology rooted in the Qur’an, the Sunnah, scholarly consensus, and the principles of legal theory, alongside reliance on the most authoritative scholarly opinions. This reflects a high degree of analytical rigor and scholarly precision, underscoring the significance of his contribution and the need for further study of his exegetical legacy and its legal, linguistic, and methodological dimensions. The study is preceded by an introductory section addressing the concept of exegetical rectifications in both linguistic and technical terms, as well as its historical development. It is then structured into two main parts: a theoretical section and an applied section. The theoretical section comprises two chapters: the first introduces Ibn Nur al-Din al-Mawzi‘i and his exegetical work, while the second examines his methodology in exegetical rectifications.
