Abstract This study examines the epistemological values embedded in Surah Al-‘Alaq within the framework of the Islamization of Knowledge. It aims to uncover the cognitive and educational foundations established by the surah as the first revelation of the Qur’an, while highlighting the integrative relationship between knowledge and faith, as well as the role of revelation in guiding and regulating the human epistemic process. The study employs inductive, analytical, and inferential methodologies through examining the verses of Surah Al-‘Alaq, analyzing their educational and epistemological implications, and deriving the foundational principles they establish in relation to the concepts of Islamization of Knowledge. The study concludes that Surah Al-‘Alaq establishes an integrated Qur’anic epistemological vision grounded in the inseparable connection between knowledge and tawhid (monotheism), presenting reading as an act of worship governed by divine guidance. The surah further affirms that knowledge is a divine honor and a path toward human elevation and development. It also demonstrates the comprehensiveness of the concept of reading, its tools, and its responsibilities through the association between reading and the pen, thereby laying the foundation for documentation and the ethical transmission of knowledge. Moreover, the findings reveal that the Qur’anic discourse in the surah transcends the treatment of literal illiteracy to address doctrinal, moral, and civilizational ignorance. The study further emphasizes the complementary relationship between reason and revelation, affirming that revelation serves as the ultimate reference that regulates the epistemological path and safeguards it from deviation and materialistic tyranny Keywords: Values, Epistemological Values, Surah Al-‘Alaq, Islamization of Knowledge.
