Abstract Research Title: Creedal Issues Inferred from the Hadith: “For None of You Will Enter Paradise by His Deeds” Researcher: Areej bint Sulayman bin Abdullah Al-Bahli This research aims to: -Highlight the significance of the hadith, “For None of You Will Enter Paradise by His Deeds,” and explain its general implications. -Identify and examine the creedal issues contained in the hadith through a scholarly analysis. -Clarify the position of Ahl al-Sunnah wa al-Jamāʿah regarding the relationship between deeds and reward, and the of Allah, the Exalted. -Highlight the role of the hadith in establishing a balanced creedal approach between performing righteous deeds and relying upon the mercy of Allah, the Exalted. Methodology: The research adopts the inductive and analytical approaches. Results: The research reached the following conclusions: -A servant’s deeds are among the causes of entering Paradise, but they are not independent of the mercy of Allah, the Exalted. A servant will not enter Paradise by his deeds unless Allah encompasses him with His mercy. Paradise is neither compensation for deeds nor a recompense corresponding to them. -Among the manifestations of Allah’s mercy toward His servants is that He grants them success in performing righteous deeds and accepts those deeds from them. The moderation of Ahl al-Sunnah wa al-Jamāʿah and their adherence to the truth, in contrast to deviant sects, is clearly demonstrated in their reliance upon revelation.
