Abstract This study examines the statutory legislation related to the work of the Family and Juvenile Prosecution in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It aims to identify the relevant legislation governing the work of the Family and Juvenile Prosecution, analyze the statutory provisions related to its functions, establish their connection to the objectives of Islamic Sharia, and assess the extent to which they achieve Sharia objectives and protect rights. The study adopts inductive, analytical, Maqasid-based, and evaluative approaches. The study demonstrates that the statutory legislation related to the work of the Family and Juvenile Prosecution is consistent with the objectives of Islamic Sharia, particularly in preserving life, progeny, intellect, property, and honor, as well as in achieving justice and preventing harm. The study also reveals significant legislative development in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, moving from general legal regulation toward specialized legislation that integrates protection, prevention, accountability, and rehabilitation, thereby enhancing the effectiveness of the Family and Juvenile Prosecution. The study recommends continuing to develop legislation governing the work of the Family and Juvenile Prosecution in light of the objectives of Islamic Sharia, in a manner that strengthens protection and prevention, safeguards the best interests of children and juveniles, and achieves a balance between justice and rehabilitation.
