Abstract

The research aims to extract the hadith of Al-Irbad bin Sariyeh, in which: You should adhere to my Sunnah and the Sunnah of the Rightly Guided Caliphs, mentioning the degree of the hadith by examining its chain of transmission and the rulings of scholars on it, and discussing the criticisms directed at the hadith in its chain of transmission and text. The research adopts the inductive, analytical, and critical approach, as the books of narration, narrators, and graduation were tracked, and the critics' speech was analyzed, and points of weighting were clarified when they differed, and then the criticisms of the contemporary were considered and analyzed and answered what needed an answer, and their criticisms were in two parts, Criticisms directed at attribution, and others to the text. The most prominent results: The research showed that the hadith has two authentic paths, namely the path of Abd al-Rahman al-Salami and Yahya ibn Abi al-Mutta’, and that they are two well-known trustworthy narrators, and that the correct view is the authenticity of the hearing of Ibn Abi al-Mutta’ from al-Irbad ibn Sariyah, and that the hadith is authentic, corrected by the masses and received with acceptance, while it was only weakened by Ibn Al-Qattan is one of the later ones, and he is the first to weaken the hadith, and he spoke in its narrators, and none of the people of hadith followed him except some contemporaries related to some of the appeals and criticisms directed at the chain of transmission and the text, and the research has shown that they are not relevant.
