Conspicuous Consumption and Relation to the Formation of Social Capital at King Saud University Students

Abstract
The study aimed to identify the relationship between conspicuous consumption and social capital formation in the light of number of variables To achieve this, the study adopted the sample social survey curriculum and used the questionnaire to collect data from the study community, which is a graduate student at King Saud University Faculty of Arts, Computer Sciences and Pharmacy for master's female, Faculty of Arts, Science and Dentistry for PhD male, Faculty of Education, Business Administration and Medical Sciences for master's male, The Faculty of Tourism, Antiquities, Engineering and Dentistry for PhD female, the sample being 334. Results showed: Study members are neutral in conspicuous consumption and consent in social capital formation for employment and access to life partner and demonstrated a correlation between conspicuous consumption and social capital formation among King Saud University's graduate students, There is no indication in the level of father education of the pattern of conspicuous consumption or manifestations of social capital, while there is an indication in the level of education of mother. In the light of the findings made recommendations in promoting students' self-confidence through their achievements scientific and practical progress and acquiring skills to create a social personality distinctive of authenticity. Urge them to participate in cultural activities to gain experiences and sensitize them to the impact of personality and to adhere to community values for job opportunities The study demonstrated the importance of adherence to values in obtaining employment and life partner.
