The Extent to which Honorable Morals are Included in the Curricula Science of Primary Grades "1-3"

Abstract

Values in their various forms occupy an important place in education. Education has a value system that is instilled in the minds of its children from an early age and continues to be reinforced throughout the various stages of human development. Values also contribute to their mental, moral, and ethical well-being, regulate their desires, and protect them from intellectual, moral, psychological, and social deviations. The study aimed to identify the values included in the curricula of primary science school grades (1-3). The study utilized an analytical approach, specifically content analysis. The sample for the study consisted of textbooks for science grades 1-3. The sample was selected purposively. The research found several key findings and recommendations, including: 1. Science came second with 5,510 repetitions (30%). 2. In terms of domains, the scientific domain had the highest number of repetitions, with 9,762 repetitions out of 18,559 (53%). The aesthetic domain came second with 2,829 repetitions (15%), followed by the ethical domain with 1,978 repetitions (11%). The religious domain had 1,407 repetitions (8%), the social domain had 1,368 repetitions (7%), the environmental health domain had 747 repetitions (4%), and the national domain had 468 repetitions (3%).
