Abstract
This research aims to study contemporary Qur'anists in the Arab world, examining their opinions and ideas on obedience to the Prophet, his infallibility, and the authenticity of the Prophet's Sunnah. The study seeks to provide insights into the emergence of this deviant sect within the Islamic faith, including their prominent figures, their stance on obedience to the Prophet and his infallibility, and their views on the authenticity of his Sunnah. The objective is to highlight their misguidance and deviation from the Islamic faith, cautioning Muslims against being deceived by them. The research adopts descriptive and critical approaches, divided into two sections: the emergence of Qur'anists and their prominent figures, and the contemporary Qur'anists' stance on obedience to the Prophet, his infallibility, and the authenticity of his Sunnah. The study concludes that Qur'anists are a contemporary group present in many Arab countries, but they are misguided and deviate from the truth, contradicting the beliefs of Ahl al-Sunnah wal-Jama'ah. They claim that the Holy Qur'an is the only source of Islamic legislation, denying obedience to the Prophet, his infallibility, and challenging the authenticity of the correct Sunnah. The reasons for their emergence are attributed to colonialism, orientalists, and Western influence. The study recommends critically analyzing the views of contemporary Qur'anists and responding to their books, opinions, and ideas that contradict the beliefs of Ahl al-Sunnah wal-Jama'ah. It emphasizes the importance of firmly establishing the status of the Prophet and his Sunnah in Islamic legislation and addressing the arguments of Qur'anists and their followers.
