The Structure of the Narrator in the Omani Novel

Abstract
This study entitled as “the structure of the narrator in the Omani novel “ deals with the roles of the narrator ,his functions and his various background within the framework of some selected Omani novels published between the period from 1970 and 2020. This study has selected 5 novels according to its date of publishing: the novel (the last spoon) by Hussein Abri, The novel (the ladies of the moon) by Joukha Al Harthi, the novel (the sniper) By Zahran Kassmi, the novel (the Cinderella of Muscat) by Huda Hamed and the novel (the Isolation of the Seer) This study aims at analysing the discourse of the narrator in the Omani novel through the search of the roles of the narrator and his various positions. This study also sheds light on the functions of the narrator and his various background. This study uses a scientific methodology, benefitting from the approach, which the new narratives have introduced. This study contains an introduction and a conclusion and it is made up of two parts: the first part is theoretical. It deals with the theoretical assumptions for studying of the roles of the narrator, his functions and his references. It contains also the blog of the study, its methodology and its problematic. It contains also definition or glossary, which has been dealt with in the study. The second part is a practical part. It focuses on studying and analysing every novel of the five novels according to the methodology, which we mentioned before.
