The Reality of Employing Peer Learning Strategy and its Role in Enhancing Academic Achievement and Ways to Develop it from the Perspective of High School Teachers in Medina

Abstract
The study aims to identify the reality of employing the peer learning strategy in high schools in Medina and its role in enhancing academic achievement and ways to develop it from the perspective of high school teachers in Medina. To achieve the objectives of the study, the research problem was formulated in the main question: What is the reality of employing the peer learning strategy in high schools in Medina? And what are the ways to develop it from the teachers' perspective?. The researchers used the descriptive survey method, which involves studying the phenomenon as it exists in reality, describing it accurately, and expressing it quantitatively or qualitatively. The researchers used a questionnaire as the study tool, and the study sample consisted of 304 high school teachers in Medina, chosen through simple random sampling. The study results revealed that the employment of the peer learning strategy significantly contributes to the education of high school students in Medina from the teachers' perspective. The most significant aspects of the peer learning strategy's contribution to student education were enhancing students' self-confidence, fostering cooperation and effective communication among students, and improving their academic achievement. The main obstacles to employing the peer learning strategy in student education were the difficulty of selecting appropriate peer learning activities that meet students' needs, understanding level, and curriculum content, as well as the increasing number of students in the classroom.
