Abstract

This study aims to highlight the phenomenon of sadness in the poetry collection Al-Bulbul Al-Aseer by exploring its psychological motives and artistic features, establishing a connection between the two. To achieve these objectives, the research adopts a descriptive-analytical approach while incorporating psychological analysis to uncover the motives of sadness. Additionally, the semiotic method is employed to analyze the poet's use of poem titles. The study is divided into an introduction, a prelude, and two chapters. The first chapter addresses the motives of sadness in Al-Bulbul Al-Aseer, which include political, social, cultural, and personal factors. The second chapter examines the mechanisms through which sadness is expressed in the collection, focusing on the language of sadness, the poet's style, references to religious texts, and the use of poem titles. The study concludes with a summary of the research findings, the most significant of which include the multiplicity of sadness motives in the collection due to politic al, social, and personal factors. Furthermore, the poet's language is characterized by simplicity and accessibility, and its connection to a traditional lexicon characterized by the eloquence of expression and the resonance of internal rhythm.
