Abstract
The current study aims at correcting the attribution of the book entitled "The Interpretation of the Holy Quran" to Alameddin Abudulkareem ibn bint Al-Iraqi (d. 704 AH) previously attributed to Alameddin Al-Sakhawi (d. 643 AH) by presenting the evidence supporting such attribution and also reviewing the unpublished manuscripts. The study at hand consists of a preface and two sections. The preface includes the identifying of the book edition. The first section deals with clarifying the evidence of the investigators of the book and refusing such evidence. Whereas the second section seeks to prove the attribution of the book "The Interpretation of the Holy Quran" to Alameddin Al-Iraqi by using the manuscripts, author citations, and scholars' opinions. Using a critical analytical methodology, this study ends with findings; the most important of which are: 1- The authentic author of the book "The Interpretation of the Holy Quran" is Alameddin ibn bint Al-Iraqi. 2- It is recommended to reinvestigate the book scientifically using the mentioned manuscripts as the main base. 3- The published book must be attributed to its authentic author.
