Abstract

Al-Baroudi’s poetry represents the most important features of the Arab Renaissance in its literary aspect. Through this research, I sought to shed light on the value of the artistic image, as it is seen as the most prominent component of the artistic work of the poem as the most artistic part in its structure, especially in Al-Baroudi’s poetry of pride. The research was based As follows: An introduction, three sections, and a conclusion, in addition to the research supplements. The chapters are as follows: The first topic: Sources of the image in Al-Baroudi’s pride poetry, the second topic: The rhythmic and formative structure in Al-Baroudi’s pride poetry, and the third topic: The dimensions of the image and its functions in Al-Baroudi’s pride poetry, the conclusion of the research, sources and references. The value of the artistic image in the poetry of pride according to the poet Mahmoud Sami Al-Baroudi is considered one of the most prominent components of the artistic work of the poem, as it is the most artistic part of its structure. It is not a purely plastic process; Rather, it is a “mental synthesis that, in its essence, belongs to the world of ideas more than to the world of reality. Al-Baroudi is one of the first innovators in modern Arabic poetry, and it is a renewal based on two points: reviving the old style of poetry so that its magnificence and sobriety return to it, and the poet’s portrayal of himself, his people, his environment, and his era in a sincere and truthful manner.
