Features of Al-Tahawi’s "D. 321 AH." Approach to Interpreting the Qur’an with the Qur’an through His Book -Ahkam Al Qur’an 10.35781/1637-000-108-001

Abstract

This research is an applied study of a great principle of interpretation, which is interpreting the Qur'an with the Qur'an. It aims to identify the approach of a scholar, Imam Abu Jaafar Al-Tahawi, may God have mercy on him, in his application of this great principle, and the paths he took in linking the verses to each other, by collecting the places in which he interpreted the Qur'an with the Qur'an in his book: (Ahkam Al-Qur'an) , and identifying the features of his approach in that, I followed the approach of induction, analysis and deduction, as I read the book Ahkam Al-Qur'an by Al-Tahawi, and extracted what it contained of interpretation of the Qur'an with the Qur'an, so I analyzed it and deduced his approach from it, and the research reached several results, including: That interpreting the Qur'an with the Qur'an is considered a prominent feature in the book Ahkam Al-Qur'an by Imam Al-Tahawi, and he has an apparent effort in linking the verses to each other, which had an impact on the interpreters from After him, Imam Al-Tahawi diversified between the identical concept and the expanded concept in his application of interpreting the Qur’an by the Qur’an, according to the paths that were deduced in this study, and the aspects of his method in that reached sixteen aspects, and his expressions varied in linking the verses to each other.
