Abstract
The research is entitled “Responses of scholars to the doubts of opponents regarding the torment and bliss of the grave: Indian scholars as an example” and it consists of an introduction, a preface, three sections, and a conclusion. The introduction includes the scientific importance of the topic, the reasons for choosing it, the objectives of the research, previous studies, the research plan, and its methodology. The preface contains an introduction to the terms of the title, the first section included the suspicions of the opponents regarding the torment and bliss of the grave from the Holy Qur’an, and the Indian scholars’ response to them. The second section included the suspicions of the opponents regarding the torment and bliss of the grave from the Sunnah of the Prophet, and the Indian scholars’ response to them. The third section dealt with the suspicions of the opponents regarding the mental and sensory torment and bliss of the grave, and the Indian scholars’ response to them. The research concluded with the results it reached and the recommendations. One of the most prominent objectives of the research is to explain the most important doubts raised about the torment and bliss of the grave from the Qur’an, Sunnah, reason, and sense, and to respond to them and invalidate them considering the sayings of Indian scholars.
