Abstract
This study aims to be a field study of the explanation to reality of serving the Holy Qur’an in Burkina Faso, and to demonstrate the efforts of the state and private institutions in serving the Holy Qur’an. As well as revealing the strengths to strengthen them, highlighting the weak points to strengthen them, and trying to add new means and strategies in the service of Islam in general or the Great Qur’an in particular. In this study, I used the inductive and descriptive approach by studying the environment in a field study, by distributing questionnaires to scholars and those with field experience and conducting special interviews with professors in the field. I also described the environment. After the study, I concluded that Islam entered the state peacefully through merchant preachers, and that the state opened its doors to Islamic institutions and associations by spreading Islam, although its entry there was delayed due to colonialism and the dominance of the secular regime, (Al- Laiki). The Katateebs are considered the first schools and stations from which Islamic sciences and culture spread in the country. Graduates of Islamic and Arab universities from various Arab countries played a major role in serving the Holy Qur’an in its recitation, intonation, memorization, interpretation, and dissemination of Islamic sciences. Islamic associations, charitable organizations, and social media also played a prominent and pivotal role in serving the Holy Qur’an.
