Abstract
This research examines the doctrine of humanistic philosophy in terms of its concept، emergence، stages، ideas، and its relationship with materialist thought. It represents one of the atheistic currents that emerged in Italy during the second half of the fourteenth century، reaching its peak in the Renaissance in the sixteenth century. It reflects the degree of intellectual deviation that the West has reached in their perspective on religion، ethics، and values. Humanistic philosophy is considered one of the contemporary philosophies that is cloaked in the guise of deception towards people; it is a materialistic and atheistic philosophy that denied religions and values، and is in harmony with Masonic ideas. The study consists of four sections: the first section discusses the concept of humanity، the second section addresses the origin and names of humanity، the third section talks about the stages of humanism، while the fourth section is dedicated to discussing its ideas، their relationship with materialistic thought، and responses to them. One of the most important results of the study was that the philosophy of humanism is an atheistic doctrine، focusing its attention on man. It has materialistic intellectual roots، subjecting beliefs to critical scrutiny، and sees no value in virtues and morals. It is thus associated with Freemasonry، as both call for humanity to live without religion or belief.
