Abstract

The Islamic Development Bank financed vital sectors in the Republic of Djibouti using the complex Murabaha method- Murabaha for the promisor to purchase- for a total amount of one billion dollars during the period between 2004 and 2021. The Islamic Development Bank and its affiliated institutions came at an important time when the Republic of Djibouti needed investments and financing in vital sectors to revive the Djibouti economy and achieve joint profits between the Republic of Djibouti, the Islamic Development Bank, and its financing institutions. The economic sectors in the Republic of Djibouti enjoy economic feasibility for the parties investing in them. This study aimed to identify the developmental role of the Islamic Development Bank projects in the Republic of Djibouti during the period 2004-2021. The researcher used the descriptive analytical approach in this study, and the study concluded that the Republic received sufficient financing in the fields of industry, mining, energy, oil and gas, health, information technology, and communications, directly and indirectly This has revived the Djiboutian economy.
