Abstract

The research aims to reveal the nature of the relationship between economic growth and the use of traditional energy and the impact of this relationship on environmental quality in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia between (1990 AD- 2022 AD). The descriptive analytical approach was used through a standard model to estimate the relationship between the three variables. The research reached several results, the most important of which is that economic growth in the Kingdom has had a negative impact on environmental quality. There is also a direct relationship between economic growth and carbon dioxide emissions in the Kingdom during the study period, as well as a direct relationship between the urbanization rate and carbon dioxide emissions.
