Abstract

The research aims to verify the hadiths mentioned in Al-Shaytan, from the book Al-Firdaws by Abu Shuja' Shirawi bin Shahrdar Al-Dailami (d. 509 AH), and to separate them into an independent study, which is part of a doctoral thesis. It also aims to study the chains of transmission of the hadiths mentioned in Al-Shaytan and judge them according to the requirements of hadith science, while explaining the status of Imam Al-Hafiz Al-Dailami and the status of his book Al-Firdaws bi-Ma'thur al-Khatab. The introduction mentions the importance of the topic, the reasons for choosing it, its objectives, previous studies, the scope of the research, and the research and investigation methodology. The research consists of two sections The first section has two parts The first part deals with the author and his biography The second part deals with the book and its description. The second section is the investigation section, which mentions the hadiths, the text, its spelling, the hadiths and traces from their sources, and the explanation of the strange hadith. Then there is the conclusion, which mentions the most prominent results and recommendations, followed by the scientific indexes. In this research, I have followed the historical and critical inductive method. Results: 1- Knowledge of a number of hadiths related to Satan. 2- Distinguishing between authentic and weak hadiths related to Satan. 3- The vast memory of Al-Hafiz Al-Dailami, the father, and his numerous sources in the book Al-Firdaws bi Ma'thur al-Khatab. Recommendations: 1- Paying attention to the study of the book Al-Firdaus with the best of speeches by Al-Hafiz Al-Dailami, may Allah have mercy on him. 2- Collecting and studying the hadiths of the book thematically, such as the hadiths contained in the four caliphs, or the hadiths of asceticism.
