Abstract
This study aimed to identify the role of student counselors in promoting citizenship values among secondary school female students. To achieve these objectives, the study employed the descriptive method through a questionnaire administered to a random sample of secondary school students, representing 6.447% of the total study population. The study reached several findings, the most important of which are: student counselors significantly promote citizenship values among secondary school female students in Khamis Mushait; they also significantly promote the dimension of cultural belonging, the political dimension, and the dimension of rights and duties. The results further revealed that the most prominent role practiced by student counselors in promoting citizenship values lies in strengthening cultural belonging among students. In light of the study's findings, the researcher presented several recommendations, the most important of which are: encouraging student counselors to deliver morning assembly talks on students' rights to freedom of thought and expression, motivating them to organize radio programs highlighting the importance of women's participation in political life, and urging them to employ counseling programs to instill democratic values among students.
