Abstract

Abstract Research Title: A Chapter on Preference from the Book "The Realities of the Foundations in the Science of Islamic Jurisprudence" by Sheikh Hassan bin Hussein bin Muhammad al-Amlishi، who died in 964 AH. A Study and Critical Edition. Research Objective: To contribute to uncovering the treasures and valuables of Islamic heritage that remain in manuscript form، and to present this precious manuscript to students of knowledge in its finest form، so that researchers and students may benefit from it. This also involves delving into the experience of manuscript editing and becoming acquainted with heritage books، thus gaining new expertise in this distinguished field of knowledge. Research Methodology: The manuscript was edited according to the established scientific methodology for publishing manuscripts، including copying according to the rules of spelling، attributing statements، clarifying ambiguities، explaining obscure points، and adding necessary commentary. Results: The manuscript "The Realities of the Foundations in the Science of Islamic Jurisprudence" is a valuable book in the field of Islamic jurisprudence. It contains numerous scholarly issues and abundant benefits. The author، may God have mercy on him، has a unique methodology in his book، arranging the topics in a sound and scholarly manner، largely following the approach of Sheikhs al-Sarakhsi and al-Khabazi. He sometimes begins by presenting his preferred opinion on the matter، which is usually within the Hanafi school of thought. He then presents the opposing view، followed by the evidence for the preferred opinion، then the evidence for the opposing view، and finally، a refutation of it.
