Abstract
This research examines the narrations related to the secret da'wah (Islamic call) during the Makkah period. The researcher identified five narrations on this topic, collected them, and conducted a critical study of these accounts. The researcher employed both inductive and critical methodologies, gathering the relevant narrations on this subject and then examining them critically. The research aims to purify the Prophetic biography from weak and fabricated narrations, encourage scientific criticism rather than mere imitation and transmission, and establish a scientific research methodology in Prophetic biography studies. The research reached several conclusions, including: these studied narrations contain significant defects, and while there is no doubt that the da'wah was secret in some cases and with some Muslims according to circumstances, its specification to three or four years is not supported by any authentic narration.
