research explores the impact of the conditions of ijtihad on regulating contemporary fatwa, highlighting the importance of ijtihad in deriving legal rulings for new or complex issues that lack clear textual sources. The study includes an examination of the conditions for the mujtahid and the requirements for ijtihad-related issues, analyzing how these conditions affect the accuracy of fatwas issued in the contemporary era, which is witnessing significant social, cultural, and technological transformations. The paper also discusses the challenges facing fatwas today, such as the influence of media and social networks, and the need to ensure fatwas reflect a precise understanding of modern realities. Recommendations are provided to improve fatwa issuance by enhancing academic training for mujtahids, activating collective ijtihad, and ensuring the involvement of experts in various fields.
