Abstract This study aims to use images as a methodological tool in sociological research to explore representations of violence against women in the Yemeni workplacethrough a field study among Taiz University students. The study adopted a descriptive-analytical method, using images to elicit participants’ responses . The findings showed that verbal and symbolic violence were the most common forms compared to other types. The study also showed that images were effectivein revealing the hidden and less visible dimensions of violence. In addition, the study found no statistically significant differences according to gender or academic specialization. The findings confirm the importance of using visual tools in studying sensitive social issues.
