Abstract
Abstract The current research aimed to collect and analyze the hadiths concerning prayer at noon from their original resources, authenticate them and study their chains of transmission (Isnad) and texts (Matn) from a hadith perspective, determining their authenticity and assessing them according to the principles of hadith scholars. The research problem lies in the overlap in the description of this prayer, between considering it an independent prayer linked to the time of noon and classifying it among the regular sunnah prayers, without a comprehensive hadith study dedicated solely to this topic. It has adopted the inductive approach to tracing the narrations and collecting their chains of transmission, and the analytical approach to studying the chains of transmission and texts, and comparing the opinions of scholars on this matter. The research, after examining the chains of narration and their chains of transmission, concluded that the only reliable hadith on this topic is the one deemed authentic by Imam al-Tirmidhi. Upon investigation, no other hadith was found to be authentic. The remaining narrations are weak and cannot establish an independent ruling, nor can they be used to establish a specific, independent prayer at noon. Therefore, what is established is the general permissibility of prayer at this time, with any general narrations being interpreted as referring to the pre-noon sunnah prayer, as there is no clear and authentic evidence for multiple specific prayers at this time. Keywords: Noon, Prayer at Noon, Sunnah of Noon, Pre-Noon Sunnah, Regular Sunnah Prayers
