Abstract

Abstract: This study represents a step along the path of thematic Qur’anic interpretation and addresses the topic: “The Term al-Duha in the Noble Qur’an: A Thematic Study.” The verses related to the term al-Duha were collected, then arranged and classified, and their meanings, semantic aspects, and modes of usage were extracted, following both the inductive and analytical methodologies. The main and subsidiary headings were derived directly from the Qur’anic verses themselves. The study is divided into two sections: the first section comprises two subsections and discusses the meaning of al-Duha in language and in Islamic terminology. The second section contains three subsections, presenting the Qur’anic verses related to the term al-Duha and explaining their meanings Main Findings: 1. Al-Ḍuḥā in Arabic denotes multiple meanings rooted in emergence. 2. In the Qur’an, it extends beyond its common temporal sense to varied contextual usages.
