Abstract
Abstract:
This research aims to highlight the concept of patriotism in Islam، which encourages loyalty and belonging to the homeland، thereby bringing security and stability to both the individual and society. This aligns with Islamic law، which urges obedience to those in authority and reinforces the principles of loyalty and belonging to the homeland. The research then compares this concept with the value of patriotism in democratic ideology and the impact of its utilitarian tendencies on the relationship between the individual and their country.
This is achieved by demonstrating the Islamic legal foundations of patriotism and the positive outcomes of achieving loyalty and belonging، both legally and politically، in contrast to the value of patriotism in democracy، a secular system that prioritizes individual self-interest.
Research methodology: The nature of the research required following the doctrinal approach in establishing and comparing; and extracting the scientific material from its sources; according to what is appropriate to the requirements and needs of the research.
