Abstract:
This study aimed to uncover the societal values and educational implications derived from the verses on jihad in the Holy Quran, and to demonstrate their role in achieving societal development from an educational perspective. The study employed a descriptive-analytical approach, collecting and interpreting the verses on jihad in the Holy Quran to extract values and link them to concepts of societal development. These values include social responsibility, community participation, initiative, justice, patience, balance, solidarity, quality, sustainability, tolerance, and intellectual development. The study also identified several educational implications at the individual and societal levels, including fostering a spirit of responsibility and initiative, enhancing intellectual awareness, reinforcing the values of teamwork and solidarity, and building a balanced personality capable of facing challenges and contributing to societal development. The results showed that jihad in the Holy Quran represents a comprehensive educational approach that contributes to achieving societal development in its various dimensions, and is not merely a defensive or combative tool. In light of this, the study recommended the need to reintroduce the concept of jihad within educational frameworks and to utilize the values
derived from it in developing programs and enhancing community awareness.
