Al-Andalus Journal for Humanities and Social Sciences is a peer-reviewed academic journal published by Al-Andalus University for Science and Technology, one of the earliest private universities in the Republic of Yemen. The university was established by Ministerial Decree No. (55) of 1994 and began its academic activities in the 2003/2004 academic year.

The journal holds both print (ISSN: 2410-1818) and online (ISSN: 2410-521X) International Standard Serial Numbers and publishes scholarly research in the fields of humanities and social sciences in accordance with recognized academic standards.

The journal has been accredited by the Arab Citation and Impact Factor (ARCIF), issued by the Arab Digital Database “Ma’refah”, after fulfilling 32 evaluation criteria aligned with international standards. This accreditation reflects the journal’s academic quality and scholarly impact within its field.

The impact factor serves as an indicator of a journal’s relative importance by measuring the frequency with which its published articles are cited within a specific period, highlighting its academic influence.

The journal has also obtained Digital Object Identifiers (DOI/ADOI) for its publications, and all articles are indexed and archived in academic search engines, enabling researchers to access content through author names, article titles, or keywords.

Furthermore, the journals of Al-Andalus University for Science and Technology have been selected for inclusion in the Arabic Citation Index, an initiative funded by the Arab Republic of Egypt through the Egyptian Knowledge Bank, in cooperation with Clarivate Analytics and Dar Almandumah. Technical procedures are currently underway, including metadata documentation and regular data uploads to the Crossref platform, in preparation for inclusion in international databases.

The journal continues its development efforts by expanding its indexing coverage, enhancing digital visibility, and strengthening its presence in academic search engines such as Google Scholar.
