Abstract
Abstract This study aims to reveal the extent of practicing artificial intelligence techniques in its dimensions (Expert Systems, Artificial Neural Networks, Distance Learning, and Intelligent Applications and Software) in Yemeni private universities. The study adopted the analytical descriptive approach, and a comprehensive questionnaire was developed to collect data. The study population consisted of all academic and administrative leaders in the studied Yemeni private universities, totaling (265) individuals. The study sample included 158 individuals from the studied Yemeni private universities, and the sample was selected purposively due to the distinction of their universities in adopting modern technologies, which provided diversity in perspectives and integration in understanding the extent of practicing artificial intelligence techniques. Statistical analysis was conducted using the (SPSS-V.26) program, where a variety of statistical tests were applied. The results of the statistical analysis revealed a high level of employing artificial intelligence techniques in the studied Yemeni private universities. The dimension of "Intelligent Applications and Software" ranked first among the AI dimensions, followed by the "Distance Learning" dimension, then the "Expert Systems" dimension in third place, followed by the "Training" dimension in fourth place, while the "Artificial Neural Networks" dimension came in last. Based on these results, the study presented a set of recommendations, the most important of which are: the necessity of investing in intelligent applications, software, and training; developing the infrastructure for distance learning; and enhancing the efficiency of academic and administrative staff in using artificial neural networks. The study also emphasized the importance of employing artificial intelligence in developing curricula, improving communication between students and faculty members, enhancing student services, and supporting psychological and academic counseling.
