The Extent to which Technical and Vocational Education Teachers Practice the Principles of Effective Teaching

Abstract
This study aimed mainly to identify the extent to which the technical & vocational education teachers practice the principles of effective teaching, based on the tool prepared by the researchers for achieving the purposes of this study. This is a descriptive study where the researchers prepared a questionnaire consisted of 43 paragraphs distributed into 7 main hubs as follows: The objectives, The educational aids, presentation of the course, motivational effect, development of the skills, values and trends, class management & class interaction and evaluation, the tool of the study was arbitrated by been presented to 10 arbitrators, Study constant coefficient was ( 0.87 ), the sample of the study consisted of 55 teachers from the Technical & Vocational institutes which were selected intentionally, those who were newly contracted with the ministry office of technical education & vocational training as well as those whose majors are not educational. The results: - The degree of practicing the effective teaching principles by the technical & vocational teachers from their viewpoints as per the tool and based on its seven main hubs was a very minimal degree - There are no statistically significant differences at the significance level (0, 05) in terms of the extent to which the technical & vocational education teachers practice the principles of effective teaching due to the variable of Type of the institute (Technical or vocational). - There are no statistically significant differences at the significance level (0,05) in terms of the extent to which the technical & vocational education teachers practice the principles of effective teaching due to the variable of gender. - There are no statistically significant differences at the significance level (0,05) in terms of the extent to which the technical & vocational education teachers practice the principles of effective teaching due to the variable of level. - There are no statistically significant differences at the significance level (α <= 0.05) in terms of the extent to which the technical & vocational education teachers practice the principles of effective teaching due to the variable of years of working.
