Obstacles to the Use of Modern Technologies and Applications of Artificial Intelligence in Teaching Islamic Education from the Point of View of Teachers in the Sultanate of Oman

Abstract
The research aimed to reveal the obstacles to the use of modern technologies and applications of artificial intelligence among Islamic education teachers in the Sultanate of Oman. The research adopted the descriptive analytical approach, where the questionnaire tool was used to collect data and achieve the study objectives. The questionnaire consisted of (21) paragraphs. After confirming its validity and reliability, it was applied to the study sample, which consisted of (151) male and female teachers in AL Sharqiyah Governorate, in the first semester of the academic year 2022-2023 AD. The results of the research found a set of obstacles such as the lack of appropriate halls in schools and the lack of experience and training of teachers in employing techniques and applications of artificial intelligence in teaching Islamic education. The study also revealed that there were no statistically significant differences due to gender and educational circle. The research recommended the need to adapt the curricula to suit the applications of artificial intelligence, reducing the teacher’s burden so that he can prepare lessons that are compatible with modern technologies and artificial intelligence applications.
