The Degree to which Yemeni Universities Students Possess Entrepreneurial Skills for the Labor Market in Light of the Principles of Entrepreneurship Education

Abstract

The goal of the current research is to identify the degree to which Yemeni public universities students possess entrepreneurial skills for the labor market in light of the principles of entrepreneurial education and the obstacles to their possession. The descriptive analytical approach was used, by applying it to a sample of Yemeni public universities, which are (Sa.na,a, Aden, Hodeidah, Dhamar and Sa.adah). It was developed consisting of (43) skills, which included: (personal skills, thinking skills, technological skills, social interaction skills, applied skills), It was applied to a sample of students who were selected by cluster randomization, with a size of (400) male and female students. One of the most prominent results of the research was that the degree to which Yemeni universities students possess entrepreneurial skills for the labor market in light of the principles of entrepreneurial education was average, with an arithmetic mean of (3.14), and a deviation Standard (0.982), and percentage reached (63%), It was also shown that there were obstacles that hinder Yemeni universities students from possessing entrepreneurial skills for the labor market, which were to a very high degree, with a percentage reaching (84%). It was also shown that there were statistically significant differences at the level of significance (0.05) regarding the degree to which Yemeni university students possess entrepreneurial skills for the labor market depending on for the gender variable, and in favor of males, while it was found that there were no differences depending on the specialization variable and the university variable.
