The research aims to: - Editing the hadith’s interpretation and examining the disagreements surrounding it. - Reaching an accurate judgment based on the principles and evidence considered by the criticizing imams regarding the degree of authenticity of this hadith that has been disagreed upon. - Considering the differences of opinion among scholars regarding the rulings within the hadith and considering the weight of their statements. Research method: inductive method and the analytical method. Everyone who ponders the Book of Allah Almighty knows the great importance of prayer to Allah, the Most Exalted. Allah has legislated it in every religion and for every prophet. Allah's prophets and followers were praised for establishing it to the extent that it was made into one of their most special attributes, and Allah made its establishment one of their priorities. The one who contemplates the Book of Allah finds a close connection between establishing prayer and the righteousness of the heart, its humility, and its submission to Allah, Lord of the worlds. Hence, the Muslim must open his heart to his Lord, strive with all his might to perform his prayers, and abandon everything that hinders him from doing so, especially what concerns the heart and its deeds. The hadith in question includes the fact that Allah does not accept the prayer of a man who wears garments that sit below the ankle. Scholars have differed in judging the hadith, whether their statements strengthen or weaken it. This research came to look at the hadith and study it comprehensively in terms of its chain of transmission, disagreements over its narrator, rulings on it and its evidence, investigating the disagreements between scholars regarding the rulings within the hadith, and prioritizing what is closer to being correct. Among the most prominent results reached by the researcher: - He disagreed with Yahya bin Katheer regarding the hadith in three aspects. - The one most likely of these aspects to be correct is the narration of Hisham al-Dastawi that Yahya bin Abi Katheer told him that Abu Jaafar heard Ata'a bin Yasar and some of the companions of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, with evidence of its chain of transmission mentioned in the appropriate place. - The discrepancy pointed out by Imam Al-Bazzar in attributing the hadith to Abu Hurairah was not found by the researcher to be narrated by anyone or referred to by any imams.
