Abstract

Spiritual atheism, which is a dangerous intellectual trend, its roots go back to the sources of esoteric thought which is far from the infallible revelation, derived from ancient roots deep in history, whose beliefs and philosophies have been recast in training templates commensurate with the times and its requirements in order to ensure their spread among the general public. Therefore, this paper was titled: (Justifications of Spiritual Atheism). The objective is to: showing the justifications of spiritual atheism and its risks on the aspect of monotheism. The methodology is to use inductive and criticism methodologies, with gathering the materials from the references, showing the justifications of spiritual atheism, and criticizing the applications on the light of Islamic faith. The researcher has concluded some important findings such as the followings:- The justifications of spiritual atheism is to revive pagan beliefs and esoteric philosophies through new forms that maintaining pace with the modern era, and the appearance of numerous applications and sports with different slogans such as health and wellness applications: yoga, reiki, and macrobiotics.- The applications of contemporary spiritual atheism are contrary to the aspect of monotheism; it includes polytheism in divinity, names, and contributions, and therefore it contradicts the initial principle of faith, which is belief in God Almighty.- The defect when following the spiritual atheism is to understanding the legal texts and following the mystical, interpretive approach, and therefore they have contradicted the approach of the predecessors in understanding the legal texts.- One of the causes for passing on the idolatries of esoteric atheism and its polytheism is calling names by other than their true names and misleading people with that.- Adherence to the approach of the Salaf in dealing with legal texts is the only approach and way to monotheism and correct belief.
