Abstract

This research explores the values derived from Istisqaa prayer (prayer for rain), aiming to extract the most prominent faith, worship, social, and environmental values from this prayer. Using a deductive methodology, the researcher reached several key findings, including that Istisqaa prayer is not merely a ritual performed at specific times but encompasses profound meanings and noble purposes that translate Islamic teachings into positive, active values in various aspects of individual and societal life. Istisqaa prayer embodies faith values such as certainty in God, reliance on Him, good thoughts about Him, submission, humility, and the resulting feelings of tranquility, serenity, and satisfaction with God's decrees. Performed during times of hardship, drought, and distress, it fosters a sense of complete submission to God's power and encourages seeking His forgiveness and mercy. Additionally, Istisqaa prayer strengthens values of cooperation and solidarity within the Muslim community, promoting collective participation in facing crises. The researcher recommends activating the role of religious, media, and community institutions in promoting water resource conservation culture through sermons, programs, and awareness activities, and enhancing collective efforts in environmental preservation through organized community initiatives based on cooperation and mutual support.
