Abstract

Abstract
Abstract: This study aims to investigate the impact of the “Student Mentor Initiative” on enhancing the quality of student services at the Institute of Teaching Arabic to Non-Native Speakers at the Islamic University of Madinah. The study examined four main dimensions: the role of the student mentor in improving service quality, students’ satisfaction with services, the initiative’s impact on academic achievement and skill development, and the key challenges facing its implementation. The descriptive survey method was employed, using a 56-item questionnaire administered to a randomly selected sample of fourth-level students. The findings revealed a strong positive perception among students regarding the mentor’s role in facilitating access to information, improving service quality, and enhancing communication with administration. The results also indicated high levels of student satisfaction with services provided through the initiative, in addition to a significant impact on academic performance, study skills, and adaptation to the academic environment. However, several challenges were identified, particularly the lack of institutional support and limited cooperation from some students. The study concludes with practical recommendations to develop the initiative and strengthen its effectiveness in serving students. Keywords: Student mentor, student services, student satisfaction, academic achievement, challenges
